Registered customers can access information about the current status of their orders over the Web when needed, without time zone delays. Once an order is placed, the customer can search his orders history and look up the status of the order using its Order id number (assigned to each order at the time it is placed). Orders history section allows your registered customers to find any of their past orders and view their details. Customers can limit the number of orders being delivered in the search results by selecting the necessary order status or specifying time range or Order id range.
X-Cart customers can either have account registration or express (anonymous) checkout. A non-registered customer, while initiating the process of checkout, is required to fill out a registration form (otherwise you will not know where to ship the ordered product). A registered customer has already had his/hers address and contact info, so he/she skips the step of filling out the registration form and is allowed to proceed with selecting a payment method.
If a customer have forgotten a password X-Cart allows to recover the lost account information by entering valid e-mail address (that one which the customer used for the registration), account information will be mailed soon.
Registered customers can create their wish list of products they want (for a wedding or birthday, etc.), and share their account information with friends and family members, everyone who can browse and purchase products.
Registered customers can save their cart to the database and recover them it later. This is great for regular orders (a customer does not have to search for the items to add to the cart again and order each time) as well as those who need to finish their order later.
Customers may print a copy of displayed page by selecting the Printable format button for all information pages in the storefront.
You can define special prices for your products. Generally, these prices are set up nearly lower and depend on the quantity of the product items being ordered and/or on the membership level of the customer who orders them.
This feature allows easy and promptly printing invoices with all order data.
You can configure the "Contact us" form fields and choose the included and mandatory ones for completion by customers.
X-Cart allows you to have multiple news lists. Any registered or unregistered user can subscribe to all active news lists. After you have created a news list, you can edit its mailing list. The mailing list is a list of e-mail addresses of the news list subscribers. For each of the addresses there is a date since when the subscription is active. For each of your messages you can see its subject, the time of creation and status.
