X-Cart software is equipped with up-to-date security technologies to protect you and your customers. If you want to take credit-card information on your own store X-Cart can to save Credit Card numbers in database. Initially, when the order is placed in the database it is encrypted with the standard encryption method. You also can use Blowfish encryption method, in this case you need enters your Merchant key. At this point all the orders that have not been yet encrypted by Blowfish are re-encrypted with password according to Blowfish method.

With the X-Cart shopping software you can protect your data with PGP encryption program to secure admin mail, and encrypt customer data, which could contain confidential information. PGP is an encryption program used to encrypt data for security purposes when the data are transmitted over the Internet. PGP uses public key encryption, a system that provides with privacy and authentication both the sender and the recipient of the message.

X-Cart allows you to receive real-time security notifications about all failed login attempts into your store.

Antifraud feature can help you to lower the risk of fraudulent payments being made at your store. The basic idea is that Antifraud service checks up whether the billing address provided by a customer in his/her order corresponds to the location of the computer IP address which is used to place the order at your online store. This results in producing a value called Fraud risk factor is produced that allows the system to evaluate the risk of fraud and to place a note about it into order details. You can define how great Fraud risk factor should be for an order to be evaluated as fraudulent.

Stop List module can help you to protect your store from an external attack involving usage of stolen credit cards. It allows you to create a list of IP addresses supposedly used by holders of stolen credit cards. Customers using IP addresses stored in the Stop List are blocked on the Checkout page.
