Jon Peters, owner of WebsiteCM.com, shared CLEARNET story with us:

TELUS, a billion dollar Canadian communications company, planned to launch a new CLEARNET brand and approached us as a leading x-cart development firm asking if we were able to perform the depth of customizations necessary to meet their objectives.

WebsiteCM.com was presented a series of mock-ups with specific UI requirements, and worked with the CLEARNET team to tweak and finalize them. We were then solely responsible for the entire x-cart project from server specifications and x-cart installation to design integration, development, security, PCI compliance, payment gateway integration and all front and back-end customization. WebsiteCM was the only company who performed work on the x-cart. In total, the project took approximately 500 hours.

The amount of customization and the stark difference from the default x-cart shows how powerful and flexible x-cart can be for someone with the knowledge, ability, time and desire to thoroughly develop. The customizations are all neatly coded and integrated together to not only prevent conflicts but to ensure customizations work together to improve the user experience and mitigate possible user error. The level of AJAX use was also fun to develop.

As a result the site is clean, simple, and easy to navigate while still providing details and flexible options.

X-Cart 4.4 gave a solid base to allow the company to get to market quickly, and was a powerful platform on which to develop to meet the specific company objectives.
