To set up the 'Authorize.Net: AIM' payment method in X-Cart, follow the steps below:
| 1. | Add 'Authorize.Net: AIM' to the list of your store's payment methods: |
| a) | In the 'Payment methods' section of your store's Admin area (Administration menu->Payment methods), scroll down to the 'Payment gateways' dialog box at the bottom of the page. |
| b) | Select 'Authorize.Net: AIM' from the list of payment gateways. |
A payment method titled 'Authorize.Net: AIM' is added to the bottom of the list in the 'Payment methods' dialog box.
| 2. | Configure Authorize.Net: AIM: |
| a) | Click the 'Configure' link next to the 'Authorize.Net: AIM' entry in the 'Payment methods' dialog box. This opens the configuration page for Authorize.Net: AIM: |
| b) | Adjust the configuration settings for Authorize.Net: AIM by providing the following information: |
| ▪ | Account type: Authorize.Net |
| ▪ | API Login ID: Your Merchant account login. |
| ▪ | Transaction key: Your Authorize.Net transaction key. To obtain this key, log in to the Authorize.Net backoffice, click on Settings and Profile under the Security heading, then click on Obtain Transaction Key. You will be prompted to submit the Secret Question/Answer for the account in order to receive your transaction key. |
| ▪ | Currency: The currency to be used in Authorize.Net transactions. |
| ▪ | MD5 hash value: The MD5 Hash Value to be used for MD5 security checks. To set this value, log in to the Authorize.Net backoffice, go to the Account page, scroll down to the Security Settings section and click on the MD5-Hash link. |
| ▪ | Test/Live mode: Select test or live mode from the drop-down box. |
Note: If you choose LIVE mode in the "Test/Live mode" selectbox, please make sure LIVE mode is set up in your merchant account settings.
| ▪ | Order prefix: The prefix to be used for orders paid via Authorize.Net: AIM (Any value, can be left blank). |
| ▪ | Action to be performed on order placement: The mode in which you wish payment transactions to be performed via Authorize.Net: AIM on order placement (Auth only or Auth and Capture). |
| c) | Click the Update button. |
| 3. | Enable the 'Authorize.Net: AIM' payment method: In the 'Payment methods' dialog box (Administration menu->Payment methods), select the check box to the left of 'Authorize.Net: AIM' and click the Update button. |
Authorize.Net supports 3-D Secure Payer Authentication. You can enable it in the General settings/3-D Secure Transaction options section.
