So, you use FedEx or UPS, or both in your online store as shipping methods…
What if I tell you that your X-Cart store has a tool to get a part of your shipping cost back?
OK. If you know the guarantee policy with FedEx and UPS, you might have already guessed that I’m talking about refunds. You’re right. FedEx and UPS refund your shipping cost for late deliveries and other shipping issues.
But what’s that got to do with your X-Cart store?
To simplify the refunds claiming process for our customers, we’ve integrated X-Cart with 71lbs. Once set up, this service automates the whole process and ensures that you get all the money they owe you. No time and efforts from you at all.
Eventually, the integration started gaining popularity. So, we’ve asked one of our clients, Josh Cook from www.atkinsrotary.com, to share his experience of using this service.
Josh Cook is a sales manager and an administrator of the online store. They are in business for more than 30 years and sell around 6,000 parts on their website. They sell to customers from all over the world and ship about 2K+ orders monthly.
Of course, they often face such issues as late deliveries, errors on shipping invoices, and lost or damaged packages.
Q1: How did you manage the claims and refunds before you started using the 71lbs?
— Just ignored the issues unless a customer complained. Tracking late deliveries and errors in shipping invoices as well as claiming refunds for each of the revealed issues would require a lot of resources. So we just left our money unclaimed.
Q2: How did you know about the service and how long have you been using it?
— In 2016, I accidentally found the addon in X-Cart Marketplace. The sign-up and setup process took just a few minutes. Since then, we’ve been successfully using the feature and don’t plan to disable it.
Q3: What is the best thing you like about 71lbs?
— Revenue. The service recovers losses we didn’t even know about. And the whole process is automated saving us a lot of time. It’s a must-have tool for companies who don’t have time to track down every UPS and FedEx package.
Sounds like a useful tool, right?
If I managed an online store and shipped with FedEx or UPS, I would definitely give the service a try.
The good thing is there are no monthly payments or any hidden fees, only commissions for successful refunds. 71lbs invoices for 50% of each refunded amount and only after you have received your full refund. Without the service, you’d never check each shipping yourself and wouldn’t know about the money the shipping companies owe you.
