What’s a Chargeback?
It’s when a customer asks their bank for their money back because they believe a charge was wrong.
Two Main Stages:
- Inquiry: The customer or bank is asking for more information about the charge. Your money isn’t taken at this point. We’ll let you know if this happens.
- Dispute: If the inquiry isn’t resolved, or if the bank goes straight to this stage, the funds are temporarily pulled from your account while it’s investigated.

Absolutely! Right now, X-Cart Pay is available for our US-based merchants. - What payment methods can my customers use?

Tokenization is a security measure where sensitive card details are replaced with a unique code, or “token.” This keeps the actual card numbers safe. And yes, with X-Cart Pay, transactions are automatically tokenized, and you get free access to these tokens for things like repeat purchases. - What happens if I get a chargeback?
If a customer disputes a charge, X-Cart Pay will notify you. There are usually two phases: an “inquiry” (a request for information) and a “dispute” (a formal claim). We strongly encourage you to respond to all inquiries. Our X-Cart Pay billing team can help guide you through the process. - Is X-Cart Pay available outside the US?
