With the X-Cart Category Mapping feature, you can import automotive catalog data from the selected catalog provider, ASAP Network, AutoSync, or SEMA Data, and align the category structure between your X-Cart store’s and the provider’s catalogs.
How It Works:
Before importing product data from a data supplier’s catalog, assign the categories you’d like to import and map them with the corresponding categories in your online store.
Mapping the categories in the X-Cart store:
1. Ensure you have configured the automotive integration’s connection to the provider’s API before attempting category mapping. Also, make sure your online store has successfully imported categories from the automotive integration provider catalog.
2. The left-hand side showcases the category tree structure as per the taxonomy of your chosen data source. In contrast, the right-hand side features X-Cart category selectors, enabling the assignment of corresponding X-Cart categories.
3. The category mapping will copy the original structure of the respective category tree branches in the data provider catalog to your X-Cart store.
4. Configure category mapping rules that describe from which categories of the provider’s catalog the products should be imported into which categories of your online store catalog.
5. Choose and map the required category in the X-Cart store. You can start typing the category name in the selector, then select the category from the drop-down list.
